This drawing project started in 2020 when Nirasawa was pregnant with her second child. Nirasawa still has continued the drawing series. In the beginning, she started making these drawings casually without intention, which allowed her to work in a subconscious mental state.The automatism lead her to drawing strangely, but more dynamically.Also, this action of drawing rescued her from her unstable mental status, especially after her pregnancy. Conceptually, Nirasawa seeks to use her process to create drawing to express a tangible version of her thoughts and emotions which, often involves moving back and forth between the conscious and sub-conscious. In particular, she seeks to capture and reflect such transcendental moments.
このドローイングプロジェクトは、第二子を妊娠した2020年に始まった。現在もこのドローイングシリーズを継続している。当初、何も意図せずに気の向くままにこれらの絵を描き始めたが、そうすることで無意識下の精神状態で作業に入り込む。オートマティズムに任せる事で、奇妙なことに、よりダイナミックに絵を描くようになった。また、この行為は妊娠中と、特に出産後の不安定な精神状態から私を救い出した。概念的には、意識と無意識の間をあえて行ったり来たりすることで、考えや感情を具体化し、ドローイングで表現しようと試みている。特に、そのような超越的な瞬間を捉えて作品に反映させようとしている。
